Where did all the boys clothing stores go?
In 2005 we set out to open a children's clothing store in the North Chicago suburbs. As we shopped for our new store, we were struck by the lack of stylish clothing options for young boys compared to girls. Then we ran across Wes and Willy boys clothes. We were hooked.
"Why not open a store that featured boys clothing . . . and nothing but boys clothing?" we pondered.
"A place where parents could bring boys to try on clothes without girls around. A place that let boys run around and play games while parents shopped?"
We called an audible. We would ditch the girls items and go almost 100% Wes and Willy boys clothes.
RED21 was born.
Within a few years we have left our original location in Hinsdale and grown to 2 stores in the Chicago area (Barrington and Burr Ridge) in addition to the red21boys.com website that you see here.
